Mrs. Bader began her career in Education at Universal Academy of Pittsburgh in 2011 as the Math and Science teacher. Over the years, Mrs. Bader taught students grades three to seven and was involved in UAP for its many developmental matters. She subsequently became the Instructional and Administrative Coordinator in 2017, and this is her fifth year as the principal.

During her tenure, many programs were initiated, including the Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), Social and Emotional Learning Program, After School Program, IT Classes for all students, STEAM Class for students in KG-8th grade, French Language, Daily Hot Lunch Program, Learning Walks for Teachers, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) for Teachers, and she played a critical role in many aspects of teachers' educational professional development.
Mrs. Bader is married and a mother of three boys and one girl. She is originally Palestinian, and like many Palestinians, Mrs. Bader grew up in Amman, Jordan, where she received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Geology and Environment. She later earned her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Pittsburgh and had completed the Supervisor of Curriculum program where she specialized in Curriculum, Instruction and Staff Development.
Mrs. Bader has been involved with the Muslim community in Pittsburgh. Her relationships have afforded her the opportunity to collaborate and work with a diverse group of people. Mrs. Bader has led Summer Camps, Youth Groups, Convert Groups, and Sisters Classes at both the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh and the Attawheed Islamic Center. She affirms that preserving children's identity as Muslims is the number one responsibility for all Muslim leaders in the 21st century.
As an instructional leader, Mrs. Bader believes that all children can learn and achieve educational goals, but each learns in a different way and at a different pace. She believes that with a Growth Mindset (hard work, trying different strategies, and perseverance) it's possible to premeditatedly reach the potential of every student. Keeping the environment positive is the key to success as well as keeping open lines of communication among staff, students, and parents. Mrs. Bader states that "shared leadership and teamwork, a committed and focused educational team, an encouraging community, a supportive family, and meaningful relationships is the ultimate way for a school to succeed in helping all children attain their full potentials." Schools ought to be larger learning communities for all, where students, staff, and administrators feel safe to learn and make mistakes.
Mrs. Bader states that the best part of her job is seeing the spark of learning on her students' faces. Mrs. Bader's goal in life is to make changes for improvement and make the world a better place for the next generation.
